Halloween. Time of ghosts and horror. Tonight's episode gives you a trick-or-treat feeling, spine-chilling up to your naked bones. I'll keep quiet to not spoil the atmosphere, so I hope you'll enjoy my selection of dark and spooky tracks.
This show features excerpts of two tracks of the latest Ambient Collective release "Soundtrack for Halloween" by Annode and Bluejooz. More dark music by Innfallen, Karsten Hamre, and the Secret Druid Society, plus a slight calming finale by Gastón Arévalo.

syndae - episode 100 volume 1
Two years! I have never imagined to be on your ears for about 100 times, once each week, to get tracks of my beloved and versatile genre of electronic music on the internet highways. So, here comes a big thank you for all the nice and positive feedback, and of course all the criticism and advices, and surely for your support as listener or label owner or musician. I am really happy about how my humble podcast turned out to become a well received weekly event on many, many audio players. So this is episode 100, celebrating two years of shows. And therefore, it's an XXXXL episode, split into four volumes, each 30 minutes, for four following days. Enjoy some of the great artists who accompanied the podcast over the years, of course with some new and unreleased tracks in between. Volume One featuring Broekhuis, Keller & Schönwälder, Erik Seifert, Johannes Schmölling, Stefan Erbe, Synth.nl, and Uwe Reckzeh.

New Release: The Eight-Thousanders
The Eight-Thousanders is the collective term for mountains that are 8000 metres and above. They are the worlds highest mountains.
For this extraordinary collaboration, newcomer "The Great Schizm" came up with the idea that we all picked from a selection and work on a track designed with that mountain in mind.
The outcome is staggering.
Spanning over 2 discs, each at 45 minutes long, the tracks give the listener a unique insight into the artists interpretation of their chosen Eight-Thousander.
Disc 1 contains 7 stunning ambient tracks from The Great Schizm (K2, Nanga Parbat), usr/sbin (Cho Oyu, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri), eigensphere (Hidden Peak aka Gasherbrum I) and Pete Farn (Broad Peak).
Disc 2 takes you to the next level. A more adventurous aural expedition!
Featuring tracks from Bluejooz (Everest and Malaku), eigensphere (Gasherbrum II), Transmission 71 (Lhotse), Schlaflabor (Xixabangma), Pete Farn (Manaslu) and Somnarium (Kangchenjunga)
Both releases are free to download and to stream and are released under the Creative Commons License. (3.0)
For more insight on how this release evolved and all our previous releases please consider joining our forum. It's free!*

Sonic Strata 2 is now available!
It gives me great pleasureto announce our latest release.
A sequel to one of our most popular releases...
Sonic Strata 2
Featuring only 3 tracks but all 20 minutes each.
How was this concept developed?
Three teams were chosen:
Team A consisted of Tange, Annode, eigensphere and Modulator ESP and created Part 1.
Team B were usr/sbin, Gregg Plummer, Sonoprint and Somnarium and produced Part 2.
Team C brought together Steve Gane, Altus, Litmus0001 and Jujigen and made Part 3.
The first layer of each track were created by the first person in the team and then emailed to the next member were they then put their layer down and again it was passed to the next in line and so on.
And the end result?
Three beautiful ambient pieces combining all artists from each team.
This is truely an excellent release and is highly recommended.
Concept: Somnarium.
Artwork: Bluejooz
Enjoy,
After all, it is free...

syndae - episode 88 - ambient and avant-garde
Did you like practicing science at school? Luckily some musicians do enjoy experimenting with sounds and scapes to our delight. Tonight's playlist goes on a rather experimental, avant-garde, and ambient trip, and I hope you will take a ride to the outer regions of electronic music. Episode 88 presents relaxing and thrilling tracks by Alio Die & Parallel Worlds, Ametsub, Gastón Arévalo, Michael Hoffmann, The o8o8 Project, and UtopiaXO.

syndae - episode 87 - from rock to relax
Time to blow all the stress out of your mind, having some really hot material on tonight's show. The most rocky and dancable episode ever, spiced with brand new material that is waiting to be released. Rhythm and drive goes right upfront, with tracks by Maxxess and Wellenfeld. Slowly turning down with chill out by Guido Negraszus and Audiokonstrukte. And finally, starting to relax with the heir of Jarre and Garrison: Schallwelle award winner Meesha.

syndae - podcast on fine electronic music
syndae - that's a weekly podcast on a selected variant of styles of electronic music, of course enclosing ambient music. It's non-commercial, english moderated having the goal to make people aware of EM going far beyond dancefloor hits.
Episode 85 had a focus on ambient music, including tracks from this very Ambient Collective, plus avant-gardish style music providing a chilling and relaxing atmosphere.
Now, episode 86 saw its light, focusing on more traditional electronica like Berlin School. On this episode are tracks from the brand new and relatively new albums by Broekhuis, Keller and Schönwälder as well as by Wellenfeld. It further gives a very warm welcome also to a young newcomer from northern Germany: Matzumi, who will have her live appearance soon. And all of this completed by a well known EM project, Redshift from the UK.

Strata II - calling newcomers... and old alike.
This is the call for anyone who wants to be part of the Sonic Strata II project.
If you are unfamiliar with the Sonic Strata (the first) project previously released check it out in the downloads.
The mission is to combine artists into teams.
Each team is ideally about 4 members.
The first member from each team composes a single track and forwards it to the second person. The second person adds another layer to the recording and passes it on to the third person... etc.
The last effort was awesome, and I think the only real true collaborative effort we have ever had here in terms of actually working together to create a finished product.
The total length of the project last time was 60 minutes. We had 3 teams of 4 people. That made each finished song 20 minutes.
I would like to goal us for 4 teams of 4 people, having each song 15 minutes and total of 60 minutes overall. - We will figure this out when we have everyone signed up.
If we can work with uncompressed WAV or AIFF for each layer it would be best, then I will mix down to 320 to put it all together.
LET'S GET GOING!!!!
As usual, all newcomers get preference.
Any questions - ask.
Mik
